MyTrack Privacy Policy
Last updated 25 September 2026
In short
MyTrack records your trips on your iPhone. The app has no account to create and no server where your trips are copied; it shows no advertising and does not engage in advertising tracking.
At your request, MyTrack sends a vehicle photo you take or choose from your photo library for cut-out, or the feedback you write in Settings. The photo service also receives a device identifier, and our relays process your IP address to limit abuse. Your trips, locations and reports are not sent to those services.
Who publishes MyTrack
MyTrack is published by KiwiJuice, in Switzerland. KiwiJuice is responsible for the processing described here.
What is stored on your device
Your trips: date, duration, distance, start and end points, and the route recorded along the way. Your vehicles: name, licence plate if you enter one, energy type, consumption, energy price, and the photo if you add one.
Your profile contains the first name, last name, e-mail address and phone number you enter. It does not appear in the contents of PDF reports, which are produced on the device, but your first and last name may form part of their file names. If you share a PDF, the app you choose also receives its file name. Your settings include language, units and recording preferences.
This data is stored on your iPhone, in a local database or in PDF files. MyTrack does not synchronise it with its own server or with iCloud; iOS backups are described below.
Location
During a trip, MyTrack records your location to draw the route and compute the distance. Those points are written to the local database; MyTrack does not send them to its services. They may be included in an iPhone backup.
“Always” access is requested only if you turn on automatic detection: that is what lets iOS wake the app when a trip begins. Without it, only the trips you start yourself can be recorded.
Motion
With your permission, MyTrack reads the motion activity measured by iOS — walking, running, driving — to recognise the start and end of a trip. That activity is read in the moment; it is neither stored nor transmitted.
Your vehicle's photo
When you take a photo of your vehicle or choose one from your photo library to add it to MyTrack, the upload starts automatically, without a separate confirmation. The photo and the identifier your device gives the publisher (IDFV) are sent to a KiwiJuice relay hosted by Cloudflare. The relay sends the photo, without that identifier, to OpenAI for cut-out and clean-up.
The relay does not keep the photo: it forwards it and returns the result to you. After successful processing, it keeps a counter linked to the IDFV for twenty-six hours to limit the service to five photos a day. The photo and feedback relays also keep a salted fingerprint of the IP address for twenty-six hours to limit abuse. These identifiers can link several requests; they are not used for advertising tracking.
OpenAI processes the photo to produce the image. Under its API policy, data is not used to train its models by default; safety logs may retain content for up to thirty days, or longer if required by law or for safety.
Choose an image of your car, without people around it. If you would rather send nothing, do not add a photo: the app also works with the default car drawing.
The feedback you write to us
Settings let you write to us. The title and message you type pass through a KiwiJuice relay hosted by Cloudflare, which sends them to our e-mail inbox. They include MyTrack's version, your iOS version and your iPhone model. No trip, vehicle or profile is attached automatically, but you may include such information in your message.
This message is sent only when you tap “Send”, and it serves only to fix or improve what you report.
Our relay code does not save a copy of the message after sending it. Received e-mail remains in our inbox until deleted: MyTrack sets no automatic deletion period for that mailbox. You can request its deletion by writing to the address below.
What MyTrack does not do
No account, password, advertising identifier or analytics tools. Opening the app does not send your trips, locations or reports to KiwiJuice. Transfers you request, Apple purchases and iPhone backups are described in the other sections.
Your data is not sold or rented and is not used to build an advertising profile. The photo is sent to OpenAI only for the processing you requested; feedback is sent to our inbox so we can respond to your message.
Notifications
If you allow them, MyTrack tells you that a detected trip is awaiting your confirmation, that a report is ready, or that your subscription has expired. These notifications are prepared and triggered on your device; none arrives from a server.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the one-time purchase go through the App Store. Apple takes the payment and knows your payment method: KiwiJuice has no access to it and receives neither your name, nor your address, nor your card number.
The app merely asks iOS whether your access is active, and until when.
How long, and how to erase everything
Local data remains until you erase it in the app or delete the app. Relay counters expire twenty-six hours after a successful request. Copies in iPhone backups follow your chosen backup settings.
In Settings, “Erase my data” erases the trips, vehicles, reports, profile and settings on your iPhone. It does not erase backups already made, e-mails already received, or data OpenAI may retain; it also does not cancel an Apple subscription. Contact us about data handled by our services.
Backups
Depending on your iPhone settings, MyTrack's database may be included in an iCloud or computer backup. Creating, keeping and restoring that backup depend on your settings and Apple, not MyTrack. Check regularly that a usable backup exists.
Failures, data loss and the end of the app
MyTrack depends on your iPhone, iOS, permissions, GPS reception, available storage and, for some features, the network and third-party services. A failure, update, denied permission, force quit or service outage may prevent a trip from being recorded, a purchase, photo or export from completing, or may leave trips and reports incomplete. Check this information and keep another record if it matters to you.
KiwiJuice has no backup copy of your trips, vehicles, profile or PDF reports. If you delete the app, lose, damage or reset your iPhone, or local data becomes unreadable, that data may be lost permanently without a usable backup. KiwiJuice cannot restore data it never received.
MyTrack or some of its features may cease to be distributed, maintained or available. Future access to the app and its local data is not guaranteed, even after a one-time purchase. Export information you need to keep while the app still works. These limits do not remove your legal rights or KiwiJuice's data protection obligations.
Children
MyTrack is for drivers. The app is not intended for children and knowingly collects no data about them.
Your rights
Swiss federal data protection law applies. Depending on your situation, the General Data Protection Regulation may also apply. These laws provide rights including access, correction and erasure.
You can view, change and delete the data stored on your iPhone in the app. For questions or access or deletion requests concerning a photo sent to the service, its device identifier, an IP fingerprint or feedback you sent, write to us. As there is no user account, include the date and details of the request to help us locate it.
Changes
If this text changes, the date shown above changes with it, and the version that binds you is always the one you read in the app.
